INTENSE WEEK

I've been on my ''autumn'' holiday since Monday, so last week Friday I went to Espoo and on Sunday we went to Stockholm, Sweden for a quick cruise (no pictures unfortunately, such a quick visit) and then Wednesday I came back to Porvoo and been here just taking it easy since then. Nothing special going on. While in Espoo we went for a quick photo shoot and tried out some new camera tricks. The fuzzy pictures are on purpose and I'm not sure if I like them or not...oh well had to try. Next week is Halloween and naturally our school is arranging a party so maybe I'll come up with an outfit and get to you back then, BYEEE!

LAST WEEK

Hello!
Last weekend I managed to go out tonight's in a row, first on Friday we went to Tiger to celebrate Juho's birthday, then Saturday I went out with my co-workers to Summer heat and of course there was bunch of other friends as well present. Sunday was maybe the greatest day in a while. We went over to our old maid's place, Pook and she cooked us a wonderful Thai lunch that I've missed so much and afterwards at Juho's place he was celebrating his birthday with his co-workers and they had a barbecue, so naturally I ate a lot on Sunday.

As for this week, my holiday started with the ending of my job today! I have now three weeks of vacation which will include, going back to Porvoo to take care of tutor duties, Weekend Festival and our trip to Ayia Napa. Cyprus! I can't wait. Oh, and as for this week I've just mainly worked and managed to get in couple rounds of golf, anyhow I think I will take this weekend easy and just charge up my batteries for the upcoming fun! (sorry for all the blabbing haha).

 



JUST WHAT I NEED

Hey, I'm back from my midsummer's trip or well have been for a couple days and I'll post about that later on this week (PROMISE!). In the mean time you I just have to talk about this since it's a huuuuuuuuge deal for me.

As you are aware my family came back last week and I decided to pay a visit for them straight from my midsummer's trip as I couldn't imagine anything better than coming home to mom and some home cooked food (not that there was food really, it's okay mom) and just being around the family since I haven't lived with them since 2009. Granted my family is kind of all over the place, little brother outside the whole day coming in late, dad working overseas and so on. But at least there's my little sister mom and our dog so it's nice and peaceful.
I just decided to do this quick post as I stayed over Sunday and Monday night and hoping (fingers crossed haha) that my mom let's me stay over more often like this as it's a nice change up from Juho's and he's families home.

Oh and so I don't forget my mom is having a sale of her.....''interior stuff'' (sorry mom again) in Helsinki , cant remember the location...my god I'm horrible at this but I know my mom's selling at 10am-1pm on Sunday since I've promised to help her out there! Just check her blog it's on the left side here and if not i'll update about it during this week!

LOOKING FOR MYSELF

hey hooo. So today I've come to realize some thing's and I've had a very random day on my own here at home just thinking about stuff going on in my life right now. What I concluded from all this.....I want to be a more positive with what I have and stop worrying about stuff that I shouldn't let affect me and let loose, and what better time for this is SUMMER!
It's been a really gloomy last week with rain and what not, last week I met up with friends and my buddies I haven't seen for what seems like ages (all my friends studying and living overseas particularly), so that's where my week went and work. Oh, and of course on Friday we went with Niko and Juho to see A$AP Rocky at Circus and it was SICK!! 

I decided to make this post more summer heavy and oriented, basically pictures of me, what and where I have been during the sunnier days of this summer so far! and for everyone else I hope you guys can just reinforce on the positive in your lives and just make this summer just like you should make every summer never forgetful , take risk's, do dumb shit, have fun and best of all share that all with your loved ones! (p.s. my family is finally coming to Finland for the summer vacation this Tuesday, super stoked!)



As for this week it's midsummer on the weekend and as I said earlier, i'm heading off to Juho's cottage again with all my buddies on Thursday evening as Friday is a national holiday over here in Finland. I suppose i'll put my new found ''positiveness'' into full effect!



MY DOMAIN

Hello, so as I mentioned before, this summer I'm back in Espoo living with my friend Juho and his family. However I have my own place in Porvoo where I study, a student apartment to be exact and I have a roomate who we share the apartment with if you will. It's split up so that when you walk in we have a shared entry way where is the bathroom/shower and a small closet and then we each have our own rooms and then a shared kitchen.
I made a point of trying to make my room as cozy as possible for me, as moving into a new city and not knowing anyone i could have my little retreat where i could be comfortable atleast (not a knock on Porvoo i'm enjoying it with or without the room!). So of course i had  to decorate the place nice as possible and I have lived previously on my own so i had a good set of furniture and other textiles to decorate it!

However keep in mind it is still a sutdent apartment and theres a certain amount i'm allowed to do to it (the shelves on the wall are not allowed haha) and it's not the greatest, but it's home and people told me especially girl's that it looks much better than their apartments!

The cabinet on the left is also from IKEA since i couldnt fit all my clothes into the shared closet haha.

 

 

 Sorry for the fact that the picture's are so dim, i dont like big ceileing lamps and like to keep it abit darker as it's more cosy especially in the winter when these photos were taken. However i do love sunligh and when it shines in, dont get me wrong! I'm planning on switching up my room and the position of the furniture when i get back to Porvoo in August/September. I can't wait!

WHAT COVER'S ME

I was thinking (and strongly urged by a few) to put pictures of what i wear since I did mention I like my own style. Im going to have to apologize for the amount of selfie's haha. So these photos are from last summer all the way till now and maybe will give you some insight of what i like to wear.

Looking through these photos I noticed a couple thing's, I really love sleeveless shirts and wearing something over them (especially during the summer). I recently got back into sweaters and I love wearing hoodie's to school and so on. Yes im style conscious but I still dont mind wearing hoodies and thinking ''damn I look good'' haha, oh and one day i mightfeel like wearing something preppy and then next something more ''urbanish'', so I don't like defying my style as something specific!
Last but not least, I am a shoe fanatic! I don't have alot of shoes (according to my fellow shoe addicts sister and older brother), the picture with my converse is from last year and yes I have even more pairs.

On another note, I just started work this monday as a course maintenance guy I suppose it's called (kentänhoitaja in Finnish) at Master Golf in Espoo. All my work day's start at 6 in the morning, but guess what I already got used to it and enjoy it so far! I get to be out in the sun the whole day and do some manly work while driving around buggies and golf carts, it's great so far haha...but I'll try to work on pictures and so on , so I dont have to resort to old photos!

POLSKA!

As I mentioned I went to Poland with Juho to see my family for mother's day. My family has lived there four years now and I've gone every spring there to see them. I used this ''vacation'' as a time to get away from school since I'm back in the middle of finals and so on (school ends tomorrow, yay!). On our trip we did some touristy thing's, went shopping, and partied of course a bit. Juho has never been there so he really enjoyed it and I always enjoy seeing the my family.
Anyways I'm off to study and summer vacation officially starts tomorrow, later peep's!
