BACK IN BORGÅ (2/3)

As I mentioned it, I was back to Porvoo to do some tutor duties for our school, I was elected to be an exchange student tutor this past spring which meant I basically had to go meet the incoming exchange students at the airport, show them their apartments, and help them out on orientation week which is Wednesday to Friday. Also of course whatever help they needed while living in Finland I try my best to help out.

Luckily for me, my good friend and classmate Sebastien also was elected as a tutor so on my down time in Porvoo I had someone I could hang out with as school's had not started yet then so there wasn't really people around. Me and Seb went to eat and just hung out around Porvoo as the weather was great and I can maybe finally understand why people say Porvoo is a great summer city, as we ate on the famous river and strolled around old town.
Also Firday we headed over to Helsinki as the exchange students had orientation and a sightseeing tour arranged for them, during that me and Seb did some shopping.

 

Oh, and I have to mention this, I recently broke my ipohne's front screen (again) and taking it to a place to repair for 100+ euros wasn't an option this time so I went on ebay and ordered a new screen fro 25e(shipping included)! Thankfully Seb knew how to change them as it is really complicated with little bits and parts. However, my point is that if you break the back or front screen buy online a new one, its so much more worth it and you can get plenty other colors also!

 

now the front screen is white, with a black button and back screen black! Im going to maybe order a gold back screen hehe
 

 

 

 

WEEKEND FESTIVAL! (triple post 1/3)

Hello all,

Yes I've been m.i.a. for a while (again) but I have a very good reason, which I will share naturally share with you!
As the last two weeks of my holiday came to an end, I attended the Weekend music festival on the 16-17.8, then the following week I came back to Porvoo for a very hectic four days as I had to do some tutor duties, taking in exchange students and helping them out during orientation week aaaand finally that weeks Friday I went for a 8 day holiday to Ayia Napa, Cyprus and came back just now early Saturday morning. So there, very hectic yes, but lots of fun!

So I thought I'd do three post's one for weekend festival, Porvoo week and Ayia Napa.
The Weekend Festival was in Kyläsaari, Helsinki on Friday and Saturday, this is a electronic music festival for the one who don't know haha. On Friday the day was headlined such artists as Example, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Calvin Harris and Armin Van Buuren. I went on Friday with Erik and we saw example, and Calvin Harris, as there was five different stages and the main artist's on two big stages it was a bit hard to decide where to go. Saturday Erik couldn't make it as he had his own gig, so I got some last minute company from my friend Camilla and we went to see David Guetta only as we arrived so late, but I can tell you it was worth the wait and he pulled of a memorable gig!

BEANIE WEEKEND!

Double post! Okay haha sorry, anyways here's some pictures of this weekend. As I said I took it easy no going out or anything special other than I went to say bye to my family (especially our doggy BEA!) as they left on Sunday back to Poland. My mom the avid picture taker she is took some shots of me and I noticed a trend in my outfit's for this weekend, the BEANIE!

LAST WEEK

Hello!
Last weekend I managed to go out tonight's in a row, first on Friday we went to Tiger to celebrate Juho's birthday, then Saturday I went out with my co-workers to Summer heat and of course there was bunch of other friends as well present. Sunday was maybe the greatest day in a while. We went over to our old maid's place, Pook and she cooked us a wonderful Thai lunch that I've missed so much and afterwards at Juho's place he was celebrating his birthday with his co-workers and they had a barbecue, so naturally I ate a lot on Sunday.

As for this week, my holiday started with the ending of my job today! I have now three weeks of vacation which will include, going back to Porvoo to take care of tutor duties, Weekend Festival and our trip to Ayia Napa. Cyprus! I can't wait. Oh, and as for this week I've just mainly worked and managed to get in couple rounds of golf, anyhow I think I will take this weekend easy and just charge up my batteries for the upcoming fun! (sorry for all the blabbing haha).

 



MAKIA JACKET

For so long I wanted to post about this new spring jacket I bought (half with mom's money of course haha). It's a Makia jacket and I have a good feeling I will be wearing this jacket a lot. I love Makia's jacket collection as I have one of their winter coats. This one is long which is perfect for those cold autumn day's and I can fit good amount of clothing underneath so I if wanted I can wear it deep into the autumn/early winter, however it is perfect for these cold summer day's Finland surprisingly often has.

 

 

IM NOT GONE

hey everyone!
I'm not dead or anything as you might think haha, I just haven't myself to post new stuff but here I am now. For the last couple weeks I've had a little bit of holiday off work and so on. I used that time to go out with friend's and nothing really anything out of the ordinary. Here's some pictures via from my instagram.
This weekend I was supposed to head off to Kotka my hometown for the Meripäivät festival, however I didn't feel to good after work and decided to stay home. But today I'm off to Tampere to celebrate Niko's birthday along with some other people so I'm excited for that!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JULY 4th

Here's a few picture's from Thursday when I attended the July 4th Party in Kaivohuone. Even my older brother showed up with his friends and of course I bumped into a lot of my other friends as well that night. We also got a ride to Kaivohuone in a old American convertible courtesy of the Sol (beer) promoters which was a great way to arrive into an American independence themed party. 

This weekend I also helped out with my mom with here pop-up sales at our summer house and Saturday I was at my friends summer cottage in Northern Espoo. Back to work for me tomorrow!

 

MIDSUMMER'S/JUHANNUS

As I promised I would update about my Midsummer's trip to Juho's cottage with a bunch of my buddies and everyone else's, I am here to deliver it. I'm not going to say a lot other than, there was lot's of eating, laughing, saunaing, sun bathing, boating, drinking and all the other must do's that go with Midsummer's. We had a blast!

I'll try to come up with another post about my mom's sale last weekend and other stuff that's been going on, but I cant promise (finger's still crossed though!) , as I have a lot of running around to do as I'm promoting lot's of club nights in Helsinki. I have the task of selling some ticket's for this Thursday's 4th of July Party in Kaivohuone...so if anyone's interested just hit me up and I'll be there myself of course!

JUST WHAT I NEED

Hey, I'm back from my midsummer's trip or well have been for a couple days and I'll post about that later on this week (PROMISE!). In the mean time you I just have to talk about this since it's a huuuuuuuuge deal for me.

As you are aware my family came back last week and I decided to pay a visit for them straight from my midsummer's trip as I couldn't imagine anything better than coming home to mom and some home cooked food (not that there was food really, it's okay mom) and just being around the family since I haven't lived with them since 2009. Granted my family is kind of all over the place, little brother outside the whole day coming in late, dad working overseas and so on. But at least there's my little sister mom and our dog so it's nice and peaceful.
I just decided to do this quick post as I stayed over Sunday and Monday night and hoping (fingers crossed haha) that my mom let's me stay over more often like this as it's a nice change up from Juho's and he's families home.

Oh and so I don't forget my mom is having a sale of her.....''interior stuff'' (sorry mom again) in Helsinki , cant remember the location...my god I'm horrible at this but I know my mom's selling at 10am-1pm on Sunday since I've promised to help her out there! Just check her blog it's on the left side here and if not i'll update about it during this week!
